AUM is the companion of Sanatan Dharma
The
history of our Dharma is a grim reminder of our passing years. All this is
recorded in the Vedas, which also tells us that OM is the sound incarnation of Brahman.

Brahmanam discusses the formation of “Om”

Chandogya Upanishad advises us to meditate on
“Om”
·
Mandukya Upanishad (12 mantra - the shortest
but most profound) is fully about discussions on “Om” and the significance of
each akshara, the bindu, and the great silence.

KaTa, Mundaka, Svetaashvataara, Maitrayaniya,
etc. Upanishads discuss “Om” - thus all Veda discusses “Om”
·
In the longer “Gayatri mantra” - the “deergha
vyaahrti” - ओम् भूः ओम् भुवः ओम् सुवः ओम् महः ओम् जनः ओम् तपः ओम् सत्यम् -
means verily the “Om” is all the 7 loka.

Bhagavadgita discusses “Om” on many occasions
- “Pranavah sarva vedeshu…”, “Om ityekaaksharam brahma…”, “Om tatsat iti…”,
“Pavitram ‘Om’kaara…”, etc.

Yoga-sutra, Itihaasa, Puarana - in these in
many places there are discussions “Om”
·
Yoga-vashista, HaTayoga texts, Smriti, all
Acharyas - like this everything revers /discusses “Om”
· In all “dhaarmika” religions (Sanaatana, Bauddha, Jaina, Sikha) - “Om” is, revered as it is.
