Chant of the Month AUM 10

 AUM in the Bhagavad Gita

  • In Dwapara Yuga Bhagavan Krishna was a perfect representation of the ultimate divine entity in a human form. The narration of Sanjay in the conversation between Krishna and Arjun is soul searching experience in the Bhagavad Gita.
  • OM is Krishna and Krishna is AUM
  • Since Dwapara Yuga is nearest to our existence (entering Kali Yuga) we are gifted with Om as the dearest of all mantras.
  • Read the Bhagavad Gita and understand Sanatan Dharma
  • The essence of Bhagavad Gita can be well understood by knowing its five main topics – Isvara (God), Jiva (living entity), Prakriti (Material Nature), Kala (time), and Karma (Action). Gita says, the person whose mind is always free from attachment, who has subdued the mind and senses, and who is free from desires, attains the supreme perfection of freedom from Karma through renunciation.
